What a crazy year so far!

What a crazy year so far!

August 8, 2020 By admin

George the Monkey here again! Sorry its been so long since I wrote but it has been such a bizarre year. We were all ready to reopen in March and then Covid 19 hit. I’m not really sure what it is but it sounded very serious and I was very disappointed not to see all the visitor for another four months. Thankfully ye all started to slowly but sure come to visit me, I miss trying to scare all the little faces that press up to my glass window.

Anyways what news do I have to report, I saw the tortoise and the two baby bearded dragons out for a walk around the farm this morning while the people were feeding and cleaning out form all the animals. They are sooooo slow, I’d love to race them.

There was lots of baby animals born since last year, goats, lambs, chicks, fawns and even a little calf. We haven’t had a baby calf in ages. She is super cute!

I hear people are wondering do they have to book to come along to the farm but they don’t for the summer season. They are just checking the play area to make sure that there is not to many in there at one time. So everyone can still come along and have lots of fun.

We are so glad that the nice weather is back again, me and my wife Gina love sitting out in the sun relaxing! Well I better go, more sun bathing to do. See ye all over the next few months!!!

Bye!!!

Where did that Summer go?

September 14, 2019 By admin

Hi Its me George the monkey again. I can’t believe that the summer is over and ye are all back to school. We miss ye, me and my wife Gina. Its so much quieter without ye.
We are still keeping very busy while ye are busy in school, for example we got new logs the other day and there is lots of insects in them so we are very busy trying to catch all the little bugs. Yummm! Do ye eat any bugs? They are delicious, you should try some!!!

Word on the street or “pathways around the farm” is that they are getting ready for Halloween already. I can’t wait to see what they do this year! We love Halloween or more importantly the Marshmallows, oh the marshmallows, they toast them right outside our house for all the children. They smell so good that I wanted to eat them all.
Last year when everyone left some squirrels came along and started toasting some left over marshmallows, lucky squirrels!

I wonder can you add insects to marshmallows, now that would be delicious. I think I’ll go ask my wife Gina about the insects and marshmallows, she might be able to make some up for me.

Chat ye all again soon!

It’s school tour time!!!

May 2, 2019 By admin

Hi all, its George the Money here again!

The time has come again, I LOVE school tours. My favourite thing about school tours is all the treats that the guides gives me. Do you know that my favourite food is a soft boiled egg, but and this is the important bit, the yellow yolk has to be soft and runny. I love to lick it like an ice-cream.

But the best part of my day is when I get to scare all you little kids. I just love waiting for you to come up to our window and press your little noses up to the glass and then I jump at the window and the screams! Ha! It just makes my day to give you all a fright. So funny!

Will I get to scare you?? 😉

Easter Holidays and Egg Hunts!

April 16, 2019 By admin

Hi Everybody, its George the monkey here again. I must blog more often, I keep forgetting! Silly me!

It’s that time of year again where we get all eggcited about chocolate, chicks and bunnies! I love chocolate even though it not very good for ya and I would be much better off if I stuck to my vegetable diet.

The word on the street or the farm I should say is that there are Easter Egg Hunts on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 3 pm. I heard that people should arrive around 2 o’ clock so that they have enough time to get in and get to the hunt area so your not running around like a headless chicken. I have never seen a headless chicken, have you?

Anyways must go now as they are feeding the pet lambs their bottle and I love watching them.  I love spring with all the new baby animals!

I can’t believe the Summer is nearly over! :-(

August 24, 2018 By admin

Hello everybody! Its me George the monkey again. I can’t believe that the summer is nearly over, it went soooo fast. I really enjoyed seeing  all you children visiting me.

There is still lots going on these days, we got more new pups. There are so cute and small, like little balls of fluff.

And I heard there was baby rabbits born last week. Did you know that when rabbits are born they are tiny and pink with no hair at all and their eyes are closed until they are two weeks old. They look so weird!!!

We still have the whole month of September left on the farm but I have heard talk of Halloween already. I think they have started building the scary maze for Willow the witch. Its probably better to keep on the good side of that one, she could turn you in to a monkey like me!! Ha Ha! That would be funny!!!

Well I’ll talk to ye all again soon with another update, bye!
